Stephen Electrical officially kicked off in 2018, but the story started long before.
Nathan left school, jumped straight into an electrical apprenticeship, and built up his skills on the tools before joining his dad, Ken at his company, Ken Stephen Contracting.
Ken had already spent 20+ years in the dairy industry, known far and wide for teat sprayers, mineral dosing systems, and dairy shed builds across the South Island. When Nathan came on board, the phone started ringing with a steady stream of electrical enquiries. At first, Nathan tried turning away the steady stream of electrical work. But when the phone wouldn’t stop ringing, Stephen Electrical was born - and it hasn’t slowed down since.
Today, we’re a team of four sparkies, mixing classical electrician know-how with modern smart tech. Whether it’s a dairy shed emergency, solar install, or home automation, we’re the crew that gets it sorted (often the same day).
